Packing List
What to bring to camp javaCamp Java has a variety of activities and occasions we want to make sure you are prepared for! Please be sure to consult the below packing list while you pack your duffels.
Underwear (and plenty of it! Who KNOWS what might happen, best to aim for 2 per day)
Socks (important to keep the tootsies clean and warm)
Bras (sports should do, but you know if you’ll need more support)
Sweatshirt and Sweatpants for campfire nights (maybe bring a few sets, if the smell of smoke in your clothes bothers you @MeaganJaskot)
Pajamas (many of you will be sharing rooms, so pick something tasteful)
Swimsuit (for pool, hot tub, river - perhaps bring 2 so you don’t need to be in a wet suit)
Casual and comfortable activewear for Saturday’s activities
Outfit for rafting! (think light layers, shoes that can get wet)
A few dry items for the brewery (God forbid you fall into the Great Delaware)
One regular outfit (“regular” is of course subjective - clothes to wear in case we pop into town)
Hat
Sunglasses
Sneakers
Flip flops or Sandals
Sunscreen
Bugs spray (is this necessary? the mosquitos will decide)
Water bottle (though, we will have on campus, you may prefer your personal canteen)
Toiletries (we will have shampoo/conditioner/body wash for showers but bring the rest, or your own things if you’re particular)
Towel (for pool, raft and perhaps…bath)
Vitamins + Minerals (gonna need your energy, think B12, think Tums, think electrolytes)
Chargers (though phones are discouraged during group activities, good to have juiced up in case of emergency)
Tote or small backpack (for change of clothes, water, snacks, etc.)
*Any other things you know you need for comfort, while sleeping away from home, do not be shy in bringing them along! Though Camp Java can be cut throat in competition, it is a judgement-free zone.
